Eyjafjallajokull eruption correction

Earlier press and scientific reports that the Eyjafjallajokull eruption had penetrated the glacier were incorrect.This was a flank eruption, just outside the margin of the ice cap. Consequently, lahar warnings are not justified. The central vent of this large shield volcano IS beneath the ice cap, but is not believed to be involved in the current eruption.
