New Mount Baker webcam

View of Mount Baker from Cascadia Elementary School. No, this wasn’t taken today!

A new webcam with a view of Mount Baker is on the roof of Cascadia Elementary School, in Ferndale. The camera is operated by the Northwest Clean Air Agency and updates periodically. See the view here: http://www.nwcleanair.org/baker_webcam/Baker/lat001.jpg. According to Roger Hasper, a science teacher at the school, this camera replaces the defunct camera that was on the old library. The link to the camera has been added to the list of Baker-directed webcams on the monitoring and webcams page of the MBVRC website.

And here’s a reminder that a link to real-time seismicity at Cascade volcanoes is provided by Pacific Northwest Seismic Network. You can find this on the MBVRC monitoring page.
